I can't remember, but the interesting thing is that it is 3.2cm shorter measured clockwise than anti-clockwise.
Why? The curvature of the earth, plus the rotation around the Sun compress the land slightly thus reducing the distance. Imperceptible to the human eye but significant over this kind of distance.
Of course this effect is reversed (ie. shorter anti-clockwise) in the southern hemisphere.
Very very long.

All the way round from Portsmouth heading east to dover up the east coast to Aberdeen in Scotland and back via Liverpool to Portsmouth Id say appox 1500 miles
