Anyone been to Golf Del Sur/Los Abrigos in Tenerife ?
Thinking about going in November and wondered what sort of area it is, i.e. beaches, restaurants, decent clothes shops etc. Don't want to know about hotels !

I live not far from there myself and Golf del Sur is currently being upgraded it now has a new harbour and new bars along with a new prom which stretches from Amarilla Golf to virtually El Medano (the windsurfer´s paradise). There are some wonderful restuarants and if you like fish then you will be in heaven!
As for decent shops .. NO! you would need to take a bus into either Santa Cruz which is the Capital or the other way into Los Cristianos where the selection is available but not so many. November is a great time of year to be here not too hot and yet still warm enough for most people on holiday to wander around in t-shirts during the day and just (maybe only maybe) a cardigan or long sleeves in the evenings.

Hi, Golf Del Sur is about 10-15 minutes drive from Las Americas - there are dozens of shops (some exclusive) including duty-free shops. The area has plenty of good restaurants and I am told that if you like fish there aren't many better places. Entertainment and night-life is good.

Been to Los Abrigos, very close to the airport so there is a bit of noise. Very small but there are some great restaurants, especially if you like fish
