The Adelphi will be open or the super posh ones on the docks but I would say the Adelphi would be the most child friendly. Or you come over the water to Birkenhead and I'll feed you! I have a 4year old and a husband!

The Rocking Horse pub by Aintree Race Course went there last year good food and company and a Wackey Warehouse for the kids as part of the pub including there special christmas meal deal. Best get on the phone need to book early..

i'd opt for yr dinning room leave the lounge for the kids to play ;-)

most of the hotels have xmas day lunches - the best would probably be one of the marriots - the one close to the airport has a really nice restaurant - plus they normally have a santa to add to the festive spirit!!
