Is italy close to london?

I want to know because i want to study in london and visit italy from time to time. but, is it close like i can get there in an hour or two

Answers:
In a hour/two hour time frame, unfortunately no. They are about 600+ some miles apart (assuming you're headed to Rome), and will take several hours via Train.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnn it is 940m
No, it's a 17 hour flight as its near Hong Kong.

.
Not that far - you can get a cheap flight through Ryanair - about two hours' flight. See www.ryanair.co.uk
It would take longer than a couple hours. Flights are around 1.5 - 2hrs for a start. Then you got to get to the airports to check-in early. Getting through customs is a nightmare. Trains etc are another addition to time.
Uh - Ah - No - it is like NYC to Miami. More than you can make in a four hour flight.
How close do you feel is close to you?
Italy's close to America as well.
It depends on your perception!
Anyway Italy's closer to London than America
I think you need a lot of educating before you can hope to undertake a successful course in London. The fact that you even asked this question shows your ignorance. I mean, I wouldn't expect to arrive in Los Angeles from New York City after a four-hour bus journey. OK, nobody knows everything, but you didn't even have the intiative to find out for yourself.
What are you studying when you have to ask questions like this?
I give up !!
No, its a long haul fraid
The flight is just over two hours, but when you take intop account having to check in at the airport and possible delays it's a bit more than that. And of course the travel to and from airports has to be factored in too.

Look at a map! Its not that far, but it ain't all that close either!

I guess if you're American or Canadian then such a distance is normal for you, but most Europeans wouldn't consider Italy as being just a stop away. Calais however.
It's a 2 and a half hour non stop flight from London to Rome.

it's 890 miles.

Here is a map of Europe so you can see how many countries you would have to fly over.

It is walking distance, just head north east out of town. Also might be a good idea for you to get a map of the world and study geography a little before doing any traveling. Maybe have someone go with you to hold your hand.
It used to be close, but the Italians have been in reverse gear since World War 2, so it is getting further away each year!
Rome isn`t what it used to be since they stopped throwing the Christians to the Lions, they are more into Opera now ( thats the singing not the chat show!).
no, not close at all
Close enough, turn left at Trafalgar Square.
You can fly in about an hour an a half to northern Italy.
Only if you fly. Don't you have an atlas?
a few hours away
