What is Northolt, Middlesex, (near the Mcdonalds) like to live in??
I have just landed a job in Chiswick, the nearest place that I can afford to rent is Northolt but dont have any knowledge of the area. Can somebody please help me out?
Answers:
It's OK. On the central line. Lots of rundown Metroland semis, that kind of thing. Loads of Poles - a good thing. There's a big estate - quite rough - and an airport (RAF Northolt) so it's not the quietest place on god's earth. Easy access to London via A40. Not great for Chiswick commuting I would say.
Don't understand the chavs and prostitutes bit from the answer above. There are no more in Northolt than anywhere else afaik.
It's okay if you like Chavs, winos and prostitutes. I believe there is a Mcdonalds near it.
In addition, the person below doesn't understand but I run a number of girls in the area and use the local chavs as security.
i live in Hayes just next to Northolt and its ok its alot quieter than Hayes or most other areas in London, You've got the central line near you or the 282 bus from the station will take you to Eastcote where you can catch the piccadilly and metropolitan lines.
The 140 bus runs from the station and goes to Harrow and Wealdstone station which is handy if you want to catch a virgin train up north.
Crime isn't that much of a problem there but you get loads of school kids on the buses and they're a right pain
