Where are the quieter youth hostels in london?
Answers:
You may be better trying contacting the Universities, if your visit is out of term, if you need quiet.
They rent out the rooms in their halls of residencies when they are not needed by students.

14 Noel St., W1 - only 7 minutes from Oxford Circus and about the same from the British Museum. It's a nice quiet area almost in the heart of the night life.

YHA in the City, tucked behind St Pauls. So quiet it is almost dead.
There's one near St. Pauls - nice area, but should be fairly quiet as it's in the City, where it's mostly offices & dead around the weekends (but short walk to all the life on the South Bank or West End & of course St. Pauls Cathedral).
YHAs are normally a little quiter than places like generator or Wake Up London.
