There's an unusual hill in Ayr in scotland can anyone tell me where?
I was told that this hill is decieving as when your going down it seems your going up and obviously the opposite the other way.
I'd never heard of this before so don't know if on a wind-up.
Answers:
This is not a wind up, the Electric Brae does exist near Ayr. The trouble with it is that tourists block the road trying it out. The Optical illusion is created by the land form beside the road so giving the illusion of a road falling in the opposite direction to which the car in freewheel mode without the brakes on would move from a standstill.
it's called the 'electric Croy brae'
A719, south of Dunure, not far from Ayr, and heading east towards Maybole
It surley is. Called the 'Electric Brae.' Its about 20 mins north of Culzean Castle.
