Luggage allowance from UK airport?

In a week or so I'm flying out of the UK (to Amsterdam) and this is my first flight since the attempted 'terrorist' attack in August when restrictions on luggage were brought in. What can I take with me? And if I buy stuff when I'm away can I bring more back with me?

Answers:
It is the airlines that set the limits on size not the airports. New regs came out this week but your airline will have info on their web site (if they haven't then check out the Easyjet site).

You can bring back what you like so long as it is legal.
20 kilo same as before, hand luggage only one bag and that needs to be small full details can be found on the website below check it just before you go in case they change anything, if you want to bring stuff back, take less with you

Just about to fly in about three hours confirmed 20 kilos, big check of hand luggage bag and size and wieght 5 kilo max, check with your individual airline though
Just back from a week in Lanzarote; the luggage allowance per person was 15kg in hold and 5 kg in cabin and no liquids/gels/creams in hand baggage. Two days ago this changed and up to 100 ml of certain items (water, toothpaste etc) can be taken through security. Check out the BAA web site.
