What type damp proofing do they use in venice?

Answers:
They use "Always". the ones with the little wing-things. they are more absorbant than any other type of towel available. 8 out of 10 cats said their owners prefer them.
they dont, houses are built on wooden poles
A very effective one..:D
You'd be surprised, but Venice isn't that humid. It is fairly dry for a city surrounded by water. I guess the air doesn't hold the evaporation that well. In any case, most building are not made of wood, so deterioration is not a concern. For comfortable living, people use air conditioning to keep their living environments free from moisture.
