I'm considering moving to Bournemouth. Is that a good idea?

I currently live in London.
Its the sea that I'm after. And a city. And prospects of good jobs.

Answers:
Bournemouths ok, you need to be rich though, its one of the most expensive places to buy a house in UK. There is a good youth scene there as well, its not as full as old people as some are saying.

add: bournemouths one of only a couple of major beaches to have sand on the south coast! Not even brighton has sand. Mind you I actually prefer pebbles.
be ok if uou are over 70 years of age
no it is horable u should move 2 chicago i live in chicago and it is 1 o the best city in the world trust me on this 100%
If you like zimmer frames and bifocal shop windows, Bournemouth is for you. Decent jobs, great nightlife? Come to Brighton. We're nice here. :) (Oh, and we're a city now and everything.) Have a look at www.brightonlife.com
It's a shat hole, Mate!
Lovely place, I think you should move.
B'mouth is a great place to live. I'm from bournemouth orriginally but have lived in south wales for years now, but I would move back if I could afford to. Property is very expensive. Good place for jobs and nightlife, busy in summer, but quit in winter.
I lived in B'mth for 14 years and yes THEN it was a lovely place, it's not so lovely now it's very concrete if ya know what I mean, toooo many developments have gone on in and around the town...Now if ya really wanna move south come to Weymouth, its just down the road from B'mth (about 30 miles) and it's gorgeous, trust me on this one I have lived here for 4 yrs now.ME MOVE>>>NO WAY, night life is really good, people are very friendly and BOY is new years eve fab or WHAT, you would think you were on Leicester square on new years eve it's that good.fireworks every Monday during summer.I could go on and on but if ya wanna know more email me through this site and i will gladly tell you. Jobs are easy here tooo unlike B'mth
It's not that bad. Good rail/road links to London/Southampton etc. Also you have the airports not just at Bournemouth, but at Southampton. Flybe, Easy jet etc. Plus the ferry port at Poole. So, you are not stuck for somewhere to go for a weekend.
Went there for a weekend once and the night life is good, but from what i can remember its full of old people.
