where I live King Charles the 1st stayed in a local mansion during the Civil War inthe 1600's.

I live on the river. It's one of the entrances where the romans successfully invaded britain. Also it's where the prison ships were moored centuries ago.
The Great Fire of London started at the end of my road.
The previous owner of my house could place a whole fist (usually his) inside his mouth.

I live within sight of HMS Victory - Lord Nelsons flagship used in the battle of trafalgar (with a plaque showing the exact spot where he was killed) Next door is the Mary Rose, King Henry VIII's Flagship and next to that there is HMS Warrior, the first Iron hulled warship.
I live near where they used to debrief/interview spies during the cold war.
we have a train station and a spar.
Benny from Crossroads "once" walked down a road about 15 miles away from where i live..
'Legendary' Hollywood actor Robert Donat was born and brought up here. And Morrissey used to wander round the local cemetery.
The very first canal lock (in UK) is at the end of the river where we live!

James Herriot (the vet) used to live a few miles away and did all his writing there.

The downtown business area is built on top of landfill composed partly of abandoned sailing ships. (San Francisco)
The house that I live in was converted into the local school during WW2. The house at the end of the road used to be the local pub.

Yes I live here and I am just the same as any famous person. The beechams pills and powders were made here, Pilks Glass originated here, sorry you only asked for one, but lots and lots of interesting things happened here.But best of all is our Rugby Team and--------- Johnny Vegas was born here.

I live in Warwick which has a castle, near to stratford which is famous for Shakespeare and near royal leamington which the queen has visited it has a tap of spring water that tastes horrid..
Queen Victoria stayed in a Mansion for some time near me in a very big park (Biggest walled Park in Europe) called the Phoenix park in Dublin. All the staff were local and to give the town work she paid for them to build the catholic church in the little village beside the park. It gave everyone a job and boosted the towns peoples lives no end.
