Do you know the cheapest hotel or b+b in Amsterdam ?
i have been searching for over an hour and still think its expensive there so can you help or suggest somewhere there that is not so expensive ?

WHen I travel I stay in hostels which are much cheaper than hotels. You share a room, and, if you want, can cook your meals there, although some also have restaurants or cafes on the premises. Here's the sites for 2 houseboat hostels

I like IYH hostels.here's the web site, although this one didn't get as high a rating as the houseboats. However, they have rooms with only 2 beds, which may be what you want.
