For those who have been on a lord of the rings tour from Wellington, what was the best one? And why? I did the rover ring tour and it was fab!

GREAT TOURS AND SCENERY GOOD FUN
Havent been on an actual tour, but we did our own little tour. It was pretty fun, i would have wanted to do an actual tour as well, but travelmates werent up for it..
I just brought the location guide book, and travel around to as many locations as pos. I did a tour around Deer Park Heights in Queenstown where some of TTT was filmed, i also managed to get to wellington in time for the ROTK premiere so camped out and met the stars so did a great self-tour!
LOTR rocks!
you can do LOTR tours? awesome, count me in!
I did one from Queenstown which was good, and another from Matamata to where they filmed Hobbiton. But the scenery's fantastic even if you're not a LOTR fan!
Just a hint, you won't find many LOTR tours departing from Wellington. Only the special effects were done there. The rest of the filming was completed in the South Island. I'm pretty sure there are tours from Queenstown, Wanaka etc, around that region.
