Going Travelling?

I'm going travelling down the east coast of America in the upcoming summer. Just wondered if anyone could recommend anywhere in particular. Obviously NY, Washington and Orlando are on the list but any other suggestions would be very welcomed!

Thanks in advance!

Don't skip the mid-Atlantic, especially Virginia (the penninsula specifically), North Carolina (any of the coastal region), and South Carolina (Myrtle Beach).
I love Indian Shores and anywhere in tampa - the people are fab and the sunsets are breathtaking. Daytona is great - they do a really brilliant tour round the race track (if your into cars!). And if you are after shopping there is nowhere better than sawgrass mills near Ft Lauderdale.

I hope you have a wonderful time - I wish I was going!
I was at Niagra falls recently and it was very enjoyable if rather cold (and wet). During the summer season you can do a baloon ride over the falls and there is a daily boat service that takes you right up to the bottom of the falls, (macs provided). There is a lovely park with anice tourist centre/ cafe at the top of the falls and lots of photo subjects. All in all, I heartily reccomend a visit there, even if only for a day trip.
For a beach, the Outer Banks would be a relaxing stop after how busy you'll be in NY and DC. Charleston SC has a nice mix of history, ocean, and a glimpse of the good side of the South, if you need a beach with some excitement. Virginia Beach is a good beach on the weekends--there is usually a free concert or something going on--you can hang out all day without spending the kind of money you would in Ocean City or Atlantic City.

Catch an O's game in Baltimore or get lunch at the Inner Harbor, but don't spend too long in Maryland before heading to DC (I'm from DC--you'll want to spend some time here--there is a lot of stuff for anyone's interests). If you don't stay in DC proper, try to stay near Tyson's Corner or Arlington--you'll get the best shopping and restaurants in the 'burbs, and you'll be a short metro ride to DC. (I don't recommend driving in DC if you aren't local--the subways are great, parking is tough, and there are too many one-way streets, diagonal avenues and traffic circles, not to mention red-light and speed cameras.)
Try St Augustine, it's a very old town. Unusual in the States.
