2005- London was ranked the most expensive city in the world. Hotels are the main reason. I nicer hotel ( something 4 stars or more )would probably cost you somwhere around 300 usd. min. a night plus tax. A really nice hotels would be closer to 400 or 500 a night us plus tax. A decnet hotel in 2 or 3 star range would still probably end up around 200 or so us dollar per night. You can maybe find really cheap hotels for around 100 to 150, but I would advise against staying in them. If you are on an extreme budge , you should either go with a hostel or pick another city. London really drains your wallet fast.
