Good hotel in Luxor?

Answers:
Hilton Luxor is nice i stayed there a few years ago, it is in Karnak in a quiet area about 5 min walk from Karnak Temple, right on the bank of the Nile and they have their own taxis and you can hire a driver out for the day and they will take you to wherever for a set price negotiated before you leave.
All I know is that the Luxor hotel/casino in Las Vegas ROCKS my socks! As for the REAL Luxor..noooo idea.
Sonesta St George. The best 5* hotel in Luxor

Check www.tripadvisor for honest reviews, it's number 1 on their.

I have stayed at the Sonesta twice it's top notch and dirt cheap on Portland Direct. I paid £315 for 2 weeks B&B !!

Oh and by the way, I have stayed at both Winter palaces and the Sonesta is better..
The Winter Palace.

But I'd stay on a ship.
The Isis and the Hilton are also very nice hotels there.
You have to be careful about the Winter Palace as there is the OLD and the NEW. The Old appears in the film "The valley of of the Kings". But the New Winter palace is more modern. I once stayed in the suite in the old WP that was used by King Farouk.
These are not that expensive but very nice four and five stars.
Moven Pick on the crocodile Island. ( Swiss management ). Or ETAP on the river nile bank ( French management )
