Answers:
orange couny is lovely and sun city. sun city you have sun below and mountains of snow if you go on the cable car how greaT is that sun and snow in the same day. california is wicked. visit monterey(whale watching) , santa cruz, lake taho , san diego . san francisco bay .god wish i was back its a dream. lucky you.
Culver City. I love Santa Monica, or the canyon.
Venice Beach
I live in Venice Beach myself. I would say you should look to live in either Venice Beach, Culver City, Santa Monica or perhaps West Hollywood. It really depends on how much you want to spend. Living closer to the beach is of course more expensive, but much cooler. Unless you love traffic, you should stay within ten miles of your job.
Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Westwood, Brentwood, Beverlywood, Beverly Hills, Venice, Culver City.
Check Craig's List or drive around to find good rental deals. Check the medical center's community board to see if anyone has a place to rent.
Everything is pricey, You are going to spend a lot of time in traffic if you move too far away.Being close to the beach is a lot cooler in the summers and it is less congested than the rest of LA or the Valley.
That depends on how far you're willing to commute. The further east you go, the cheaper it is (with the exception of Beverly Hills). Anywhere west of Hollywood is reasonable and safe but don't go further east than that. Hollywood will give you a one hour commute. Don't go further south than Redondo Beach or further north than the Santa Monica mountains or you'll have to come over the 405 pass which is a horrible commute. If you can afford it, stay in the Culver City, Palms, or general West LA area. You'll be close enough to work but far enough away from the Santa Monica prices.
