When to go to Chicago?

I'm planning a visit to Chicago. When is the best time to go. My main interest is jazz. And also to see the city sights.

Answers:
I'm from Chicago. I would say the best time to go is in July. Maybe around the 4th. It is really crowded though but they have a lot going on then. Taste of Chicago, venetian night, concerts at Navy Pier, and lots of awesome restaurants and museums. Rush St., Lakeshore Drive, and Michigan Ave. are where all the hot spots are. It's really a great city. Nice people. HAVE FUN!
Go in the middle of winter
Well, my soccer team went to Nationals in Chicago in July.. That was an excellent time to go. Not too busy, and not too hot (surprisingly).. Hope that helps!
winter
Well, I live in Chicago and I don't even know the best time to go. There's the Taste of Chicago. There are almost always some kind of jazz festivals going on. Plenty of good eatin`, too. That's usually in July around the 4th. I recommend going to Navy peir and seeing the fireworks on the 4th of July, too.
next year
Dude....

Go to Chicago when your ticket is confirmed to go there.
I think the fall, because you would avoid the COLD winter and be able to walk the city without the heat of Summer. Don't miss the Navy Pier and all the wonderful restaurants and shopping the city has to offer.
