Has anyone been on holiday to Bulgaria?
.Is it a good place to go in September? What's it like? And where is good to stay?

September is perfect to go to some of Mountains! But in South Sea Coast will be more calm in this period!

I went in february to the borovets ski resort. It was good ski-ing for beginners and intermediates, but my advanced friend went down every black run twice in the week we were there, and then had to go off piste for some more fun.
Not been but friends have .cheap as chips !! One of the main resorts is a place called Golden Sands ??
Last year I went to Albena in Bulgaira, which is about 20 mins away from Golden sands, we drove most of they way through Golden sands, and treally did not think much of it. Albena is lovley, everyone is so friendly.
It is so cheap out that, but do be careful and pay with Lev NOT Euros and piounds, because they will take it, but they will also rip you off and not work out the actual exchange rate.
The Beach in Albena, is so nice, the waters not too bad, very clear and its a sandy beach.
the weather is a bit tempermental but, it can be very warm.
the food is so so so nice wether you eat in our out, if you go to Albena, deffinatley make sure you go to Poco Loco dance Restraunt. the town/market is quite big and the scenery is beautiful.

not recomend go there..but if you really want to..remember this..dont't go in a fancy car..because i'll be the last trip whith that car.there are thives everywher..aspecially on the beach.dont go to ALBENA..!! go to THE GOLDEN SANDS.is a lot beautiful..

Food in the hotel was absolutely dreadful and everyone got Bulgaria tummy - but we found plenty of nice places to eat outside the Hotel.
Beggars and prostitutes get on your t*ts after a couple of days. The prostitues were coming onto men walking up the road with their partners & kids!
Its a very poor country - but an experience!

Varna's beach is great, and don't whine about the hookers. There should always be adult entertainment avialable to men!
Suncev breg and Nessebar are great places on the seaside.i'm not sure about the weather, it might get too chilly to go on the beach.oh, and yeah, it's amazingly cheap!!
