All i can say is NEVER go alone, there are so many maniac's . go along with boyfriend, or a friend otherwise Drive home. it has become so dangerous that no one is trusted. any more.
Always go with a buddy and have a designated driver. Or if everyone wants to get crazy, rent a room down town together and just party at a club that is close to the hotel. Groups is the key.
A small gun, a can of mace, and inch long razor sharp blood red fingernails! Also, not afraid to go for the eyes or nuts.
yes this is a very serious issue.. i have a teenage daughter who thinks 'nothing will happen to her'.. it drives me mental..
I always make sure people know im about to leave somewhere.. never take cabs on my own, drive most times so dont have to take cabs, always make sure car doors locked when driving..
Same with daughter.. make sure if she gets a bus rather than cab i will meet her off the bus, always stay in contact via mobile while she is travelling, never leave it too late.
i always make sure i sit in the front of a cab i.m not mad its because most cars have child locks on the back doors but none have them on the front plus if they try to touch me i can reach them and i dont have to worry about the door even with central locking you can get out the front door ,,,, think about it.
I ALWAYS carry a knife. I have got caught up in a sticky situation before and don't want it happening again. I would also like to obtain a few throwing knives and a stiletto to hide between my breasts.
Pre-book a cab with my regular cab firm. Go on regular self defence classes. Do karate. Don't act like a victim.
always with friends on the way home. making sure we have the taxi money and not getting to drunk
My daddy gave me a 38 Special for my birthday last year. I don't leave home without it.
I always ensure I have a lift home by taxi it is called "Husband" and always ensure daughters have a lift home that is called "Mom or Dad Taxi".
I walk with 38 at times and God is always in my heart. Stop watching bad news and getting paranoid
never go alone, dont act like a victim, carry a kubotan (small metal stick- not sharp but very effective if you know how to use it)
and generally dont use cabs!
I always use a listed taxi company and I also tend to ring someone if I'm on my own. With a group it's not so much of a problem because we make sure no matter how drunk we are that no one is left behind!
If you are boozing - get a lift arranged first. Or get the number of a really reliable and licenced cab service and get someone to call it for you. Don't ever just wander out and hope for the best and if your friends let you do this - they are not your friends!! How about arranging to stay at a friends house and go home with them? If you are this worried, don't ever put yourself in the situation.
