In transit at Singapore Airport?

I am going to have a 5 hour wait at Singapore airport soon and I heard that International Transit passengers can arrange to take a sight-seeing trip of Singapore whilst waiting for their connecting flight. Does anyone know anything about this?

Answers:
Might be hard if you only have five hours:

Ask in the airport - they are very helpful to visiting travellers.

Try: http://www.city-discovery.com/singapore/.

Or get a cab and a set amount of money - ask the cab drive to show you some of the highlights of Singapore and to be back at the airport for the set time you need to get your next flight.

I was born in Singapore and recommend seeing the place if you get a chance.

Look at the link - if you like the look of somewhere ask the cab driver if there is time! Research before you go.
yes you can..done it myself..you have to go to the tourist desk an d they will arrange it..well worth it
Passengers who are in transit for less than 24 hours may leave the airport without having to pay the service charge upon departure from Singapore
Yes you can do this it's easy will be a desk at the airport,Singapore is a fab airport lots to do ,you can also book a room to sleep for a few hours or take a shower, when I was there they had a game show you could take part in to win prizes
Use a taxi. They are cheap, honest and clean.
I did this tour a few years ago and it really is a nice break between connecting flights. Go to the tour desk in the transit area and they will take care of you providing you have a minimum 4 hour transit window. The tour is in a comfortable bus with big windows so you can get a good view. We were allowed off the bus only at a special 'vista' point in the city. I think this is because you are technically still in transit and have not cleared customs/immigration for entry. The tour itself is about 2 hours but that is to accomodate others who have different time allotments.
Enjoy the modern facilities of the world's first class airport.
Don't bother - Changi Airtropolis is no ordinary airport it'll keep you occupied for more than 5 hours; besides it's extremely hazy all over Singapore - enitire city state and country have ben enveloped with harmful-to-health haze caused by burning plantations in godforsaken indonesia
You can get our cab driver to show you around. It's about SGD 25/hr for a regular taxi and SGD 35/hr for a mercedes or london taxi
