Answers:
There is a left luggage office, yes.
I'd have said so. Check out BAA.co.uk for information regarding facilities at their airports (of which Glasgow is one)

i've never seen such a thing at an airport, and security is crazy these days, BUT you should google for leftluggage (the company) - they operate private left luggage places at rail stations and they may have them in the airport. Check out the closing and opening times - they can be awkward.
There is no need to lock your luggage away - the hospitable and welcoming Scottish folk, especially Glaswegians after their city was the European Capital of Culture, will look after it for you - pile all your luggage up in the city centre somewhere - Sauchiehall Street for example, and ask any young passers-by to look after it for you until the morning.
When you go back to pick it up it is traditional to show how much you have learnt of the local culture by shouting out endearments such as "SeeyouJimmy", "Hootsmon" and "Itsabrawbreemoonlicktnichtthe.
There is a similar tradition in Liverpool, but there it is only necessary to leave your cases in the car park outside the John Lennon Airport, no one would dream of touching them.
