Yes other people have. No, I have not. But I did go to the McMurdo science station last year on Antarctica. It wasn't as cold as I thought it would be.
A bloke called Scott went to one or the other I believe (or pretty close to it).
Ice Station 4, Antarctica. Deep ice probe. And if you care about this planet, I can tell you it is melting.
