Does anyone know much about monmouth near wales whats it like?

Answers:
We recently visited Monmouth for a morning while on holiday in Ross-on-Wye. It seemed like a very pleasant town, quite a few nice old buildings in the town centre, and it's got a Waitrose so there's obviously a bit of money there ;-).

I imagine you probably want info from someone who's spent more than 4 hours there, though!
For a start its IN Wales, its got a nice bridge which crosses the river Wye, It has a high street, a supermarket, and a marketplace.
Its ok as long as you don't want to do much apart from travel to Symonds Yat and play on the rapids.
Town or County?
Do you mean the Monmouth which is IN Wales?? Isn't there an abbey there?
It is green.
i lived quite close to monmouth and it is a small town with a river through it its not the sort of place for great excitement .
and unless im mistaken it is in wales.
