It has to be Aviemore !! U can stay in a log cabin with cosy real fire etc , its amazing and even better if you`re lucky enough to have snow .
The Red Lion, The White Lion, The Bull & Butcher, Yates's ,Chequers, Hogs Head, Dog & Partridge, Horse & Groom, Fox & Crown, Durham Ox...theres 10 nice places for you .the extra one's just in case you get bored with the others!.
It might not be to cheap but centre parcs was really nice for us.
aberfeldy.some lovely places to stay there, or the lake district is good.lots to do and lots of places in all the little towns to stay. have fun though.and it will be cold wherever you go so bring lots of nice red wine to warm your soul.
Blackpool, lots of large hotels partying away, great fun and atmosphere, plus youve got the shops, promenade, panto and Christmas lights.
The Highlands of Scotland, perhaps around Loch Ness. Very romantic, log fires, snow etc.

Go to Aviemore in Scotland, you'll have gorgeous views of the Cairngorm mountains. And the town it's self is full of fabulous restaurants. Great for those wanting a romantic break for 2!!! Source(s):
