Why are some place so expensive to get into?
Especially places of historical interest, like Warwick Castle for instance, it costs a ridiculous amount of money to get in.

Because touristy people like Americans are just all ooh history and they don't know that it's expensive cos they probably only go to touristy places so they don't realise it's expensive so people can get away with it, but it's not very good for people who just wanna go somewhere and they know what's expensive and what's not, Kenilworth castle is free or very cheap, but that's only a town and Warwick is a county town like bigness like London, if you know what I mean.
Because those places need more money as they do not get or recieve very little funding from outside, so they rely on the entrance fees-in fact they should give an entrance fee to Mcdonalds, that would reduce obesity
Yes it's annoying .I love these places but often miss out because of the prices.I think if these things were cheaper there would be less trouble on the streets.
THe more people attend something the more they will cost.If you go somewhere that is quit boring you might not have to pay anything.
Because they need to pay for the upkeep. Many of these places are not really for profit. and its hard to maintain historical places without money, so they rely upon donations and ticket costs to keep up general upkeep.

warwick castle is a load of sh*t, i jst went there yesterday and it was so boring. the only good thing was the souveniers, i took ages to choose what i wanted.
but i guess places like that are worth alot too and have high-maintenance.
u should buy an annual pass, that what i got. its really good. for my family (6 people) it was around £400, but u get to go Thorpe Park, warwrick castle, chessington madame tussauds and alton towers for a year, as many times as u want. and at alton towers i think its 20% off for annual pass holders when u wanna stay at a hotel.
its great, we go thorpe park and chessington like 3 times a week because its near to where i live (london). only takes 45 mins.

because these places are set in classy area's and they only want to attract classy customers,..whether or not u can afford it will put you into one or the other class,..if u know what i mean .
Lincoln Cathedral costs £50,000 per day, so when I read that I didn;t mind paying to get in. I am not religious, but this is a beautiful building, and it would be terrible if it was not looked after.
