Anyone ever been on holiday or travelled on their own?

was it enjoyable?
where did you go?

Answers:
Yeah, been to Turkey, Greece, Belfast, Edinburgh and Yorkshire on my own, to name a few places. No, I'm not a total Nelly-no-mates. If you're travelling abroad on your own it's really important to read up on the area you're visiting and to be aware of potential dangers (i.e. attacks, pick-pocketing, etc), but don't get too paranoid and don't think that every person you meet is about to cut your throat for a few euros. The best part about going on holiday on your own is that you have no-one to consider and can totally do your own thing. It's great! I'd highly recommend it
you mean alone ? - yeees - great - never disagree about where to go - what to see - when to snack - and meet an amazing mass of great natives -
Where ? Russia and Geramny
Yes, I went to Denver and Salt Lake City.

Enjoyed it as I could do exactly what I wanted without having to ask anyone else.
Yes I've had some wonderful holidays all over Europe - France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia (even into Siberia and therefore by crossing the Urals was in Asia.
Went to Australia for a month in January this year. Had a fab time, even getting stranded in Bahrain for 24 hours (flight was late leaving Heathrow and we missed the connecting onward one) wasn't too bad. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, and will be going again.

If you are a young lady and you do such, travel to main metropolitan cities and travel during the daytime. Dress down and do not draw attention to yourself unless you are going to dinner within walking distance to your hotel, unless your hotel is in a main thoroughfare. Cruise ship tours are fantastic and th best for traveling alone. You can, if you want, meet wonderful people, or you can be by yourself.

I prefer travelling alone - total freedom, without having to worry about what others want to do! I've been to Thailand, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Egypt, Dubai and several European countries on my own.
travelled europe, west and east, then overland to cape town, then pakistan, india, himilayas and overland to bangkok, then aus and NZ - took 12 months after university and about £12,000 - but was the best present wver from my folks for passing my exams and something i will remember for ever. Different people and cultures are fantastic - and the world is very small
I travel internationally for business by myself all the time. Sure my days are planned but many of my afternoon and nights are free. I love it! I can do whatever I want and I go out on a limb to meet others. There's nothing like having a beer, meeting people and talking about life. It can be a little uncomfortable at first until you get into it.. Explore - have fun.
Sure did, went to Thailand.
