That is "stand by" very chancy to sit and wait for a no show. Why do it, it is the same fare.no discounts and you could wait all day or longer. The only use for this service is if you miss your flight, late or overbooked, but it is not a way to travel long distances.

every time i fly to saudi to work buddy, i PRAY that the planes are cancelled!
i have done it, just turn up and ask to go on standby. not difficult.
