Here's a good website for WORLDWIDE opportunities,
INVOLVEMENT VOLUNTEERS
http://www.volunteering.org.au/.

Email the editors because the website might not be updated very regularly.

God bless you!

Look up www.vso.org.uk web site. It is for the Voluntary Service Overseas Organisation that specialises in the sort of thing you want to do. There are also good web sites for Gap year student projects. Good luck in whatever you choose, it is a great way to see a different part of the world whilst doing some good in it.
I dont, but good on you for doing it. It's something I wish I had done and regret not doing.
Good for you - it is so refreshing to learn of others willing to sacrifice their time and talents to help others.

Found this website that may be of help:

Good Luck and God Bless you for your willingness to serve others.

Type "volunteer work africa" into your search bar
Go to Africa at your own risk
OR
Come to India without any risk
If you work with good NGO'S.

A lot of people recommend structured programs like Peace Corps so you don't get taken advantage of by local NGO's (non governmental organizations) seeking foreigners to volunteer and donate money to their cause. Be very careful of corruption in NGO's and local CBO's (Community based organizations) as many of them are not completely honest with you up front.

I have a few friends I met while in Africa who had some trouble finding an honest organization. I had a wonderful experience workin with a Catholic parish, even though I'm not Catholic. I think it depends on who you volunteer with.
good luck
I think that that is a verg good idea, i really want to go out and do volunteer wokr in a couple of years
