Austrailians?
Do the oz's hate the english, i just asked a normal question about emigration on answers oz and got two horrible replies
Answers:
Wow, just looked at the answers you got to your last question!! I don't know how you found that many ***heads with one question - if you have a look at their profiles I think you will find more than half of them are not Aussies ( can we please deport the rest of them though?).
Anyway - those of us that live in the hottest part of Australia - would love a cold-room technician to come over.
There is a huge demand for refrigeration mechanics in Darwin and you would be welcome like every other variety of immigrant that calls Darwin home.
PS to the answerer's above the convict thing wears a bit thin - particularly now that most of us are not of British descent. ( My family moved from Norway by choice in the late 1800s).
You live and learn i suppose. There just our criminals anyway. He!
I think they do, but then I don't think they have got over the inferiority complex of being our "cast - offs" - you need to remember it was a penal colony!
their self absorbed pri*ks but the country is astounding, i used to live there and i suppose i met some really nice people. They just have a higher proportion of di*kheads in their country compared to us, which is unbelievable i know!
They can't hate us that much there is enough of them over here
bunch of convicts
ozzies hate everyone that isnt a criminal. only kidding cobber. there just very competitive
We don't hate you guys, we just love beating you at cricket and rugby.Just a tip, if you do emigrate here I highly suggest that you don't take any of the attitudes that the previous answers have demonstrated because you won't settle in too well. But you'll be set up for a great life! We're ranked 3rd in the world for the best place to live.
I do wish you could spell Australians. But no, we don't necessarily hate the English. I'm not sure about your question but maybe something else in there triggered the reply? But then again they may have just been horrible people :P
Don't hate us Aussies!
I don't know if collectively they hate us, I think Aussies are great.
people. Always cheery and friendly to me. But then again you reap what you sow.
No, the Aussies don't hate the English, but we do find it slightly tiresome when they bring up that old chestnut about us all being descended from convicts. The majority are descended from British immigrants and to a lesser extent, European immigrants, Asian immigrants and refugees. Please also note that the petty thieves were transported to Oz, while the murderers and rapists stayed in England.
You should also take into account that there are massive numbers of people, mainly English who are trying to immigrate to Australia. We can't sustain many more immigrants because although it is a huge country, most of it is uninhabitable.
Finally, as someone one else has mentioned, Australia does have a high percentage of d*ckheads. We might be friendly and welcoming but there is a strong b*stard streak, particularly in our men.
I don't actually live there anymore.
I'm English, but know that Australia is a great place to live, It is only the British mentality and their attitudes that gets them a bad name over there. I have family who emigrated there quite a few years ago from Kenya, and they settled in with no problems at all, and are doing a lot better over there than we are here in the U.K. I would have emigrated there if I could have, but personal circumstances prevented me from doing so. Why is it that the English always try to slap down their only friends when they don't have many to choose from? A big hello to all you Aussies.
No Mate. Two facets of the same diamond both trying to outshine the other.
"Im a blo*dy pome ain i" is just begging for it. Fact is Australians do not automatically hate the poms. But we have had it up to here with those who arrive and then whine because we don't care much about Association football, don't have chips with everything and turn up our noses at black puddings etc etc. 'orrible, aren't we? Another type we dislike intensely are those who want to tell us how much better things are done in Pommyland (Or Yankeeland for that matter).
If you are not that type of person we'd be happy to have you.
Fact was that when the big English immigration was on a few decades ago a minority decided it wasn't enough like "home" and returned. A few of these got a fair bit of publicity. A fair number of those that did return came back after they realised that "home" was not as good as they remembered. How we laughed.
There would have to be plenty of work for coldroom people here. There are shopping centres being built and remodelled all over the place. You might find that you would have to travel about a bit. You might get on with some of the shopfitting or refrigeration specialist teams, or maybe air-conditioning people.
Why would we hate the English ?. The majority of our population originated in England, we live in a great country and enjoy beating England in sports.
What can I say you just got lucky. The people who responded to your last question don't understand Pommie humour and their answers were a load of bollocks.
I don't believe we hate the English - God I married one - besides who else understands the art of 'taking the mickey' a passtime that most Australians enjoy.
i'm aussie and i love the poms. i'm half cockney me self.
most poms are really nice and they just can't help it if we beat them at sport.
Have a good one!
P.S there is one i in Australians
I'm an Aussie living in the UK my wife is English and i work as a travel agent all i do every day is send English people to Australia so they can enjoy a little something of what I've grown up with we don't hate the English except when the ashes are on then we hate everybody hahahaha we love to party love to travel and love to take the piss out of the English do take offence just buy us a beer and were everybody's mate hahaha

australians dont hate the english. only when it comes to the ashes (WE'RE SO GOING 2 BEAT YOU!!)
Trust me ,its no just the Australians that are irritated by
the English.
No. I went there a couple of years ago (flaunting my cut-glass suburban London accent) and they were perfectly fine with me: friendly, generous, helpful, invitational, quick-witted, easy-going and great company. I have always found Australians to be like this. If we 'hate' eachother it is only a kind of banterous, friendly rivalry. Us Pomms whinge and have cr@p weather. Aussies were just Pommie convicts.so the stereotypes go. Neither is actually 100% true any more. They don't have chips on their shoulders, because they don't need to.
The two horrible replies were probably just from two random horrible people. Unfortunately, you find them in every race. Rest assured, most Australians are NOT like this.
Aussies take the micky out on all races even themselves so dont take it personaly most have Pommie grand parents anyway so they cant hate you.
Only when we are playing thenm at Cricket especially this year as they are in on the Ashes tour. Which by the way we will win back.
No Aussies don't hate the English, but there are just some people who just can't say anything nice to anyone, but we are not all like that.
G`day Steve
I`m an aussie, I live in Perth. I have a few english friends here, Perth is full of poms. The only thing that pisses me off sometimes is that some of them whinge & whine about everything. I feel sorry for the nice, normal poms over here, because you all get labelled "whingeing poms".
But generally yes I like english people.come on over!
No, we don't hate the English, quite the opposite in my book, I have quite a few English friends who live here. I'd say the yobbos that live over my back fence answered your question.I apologise for that.tomorrow I will give them the bird for you.
