you know like most nationalities have their part of town in london, right?, portuguese around stockwell, jews in finchley,etc etc..i would like to know where americans normally hang around in london..i am trying to find a friend which i lost phone number..

Try Bedford Place just off Russell Square. That street is where they have the student housing for the American Intercontinental University which is on Marylebone High Street in London. Walk down Bedford Place around 10 o'clock at night at night and you can't move for Yankee accents. Trust me, I should know. For two months my American wife was one of them.

ESPN Zone Leicester Square. Get the tube to Leicester Square and ESPN Zone is a couple of minutes by foot. Past the Wetherspoons pub by the main square.
I used to live in Maida Vale, just off Edgeware Road, and that area was an extremely popular pace to live amongst American expats.
