The guy at work wants to move to Canada the only problem is.?

he is worried about his application form as he has a criminal record for something he did 2 years ago. It will stay on his record for 3 more years. If he tells the truth what are the chances of him getting in? if he lies and gets found out obviously he won't get in at all but what are the chances of him getting found out?

Answers:
He must put his criminal record on his application form. If found out later, he can be sent back with the condition that is never again allowed into Canada. Since he wants to move here, best course of action is to tell the truth. Canadians will then review the application form and if it were just a minor misdeamenour, probability is that Canada will allow him in. Canada is quite lenient.
depends on if it's a felony or misdemeanor
He should judst tell the truth. Even if he can't get in now, once this thing clears, there may be a chance. But if he lies and messes this up, then he'll feel bad for lieing.
We are not Canadian border patrol agents here.
So do you want to give your co-worker info based on specualtion.
All, I know is they are really tough at the border.
Why doesn't he call Canadian Immigrations, be honest about the prob and see what the regs are?
I believe he will not be able to enter Canada.Has he checked into getting a waiver or a pardon? This can be done on the Internet and not expensive if done on your own. Please advise your Friend not to try and get in with a lie, this will diminish his chances of ever getting here. Also in order to get here you need a sponsor, a skilled job, there are many ways and it can become very frustrating at times. I am in this process now..
Good luck!!
Tell him to find another Job.Canada will not take usa criminal's
He needs to speak to Canadian immgration (which I would advise anyway!). THey know the score, NOT us!
Put it this way. If he lies he won't get in, if he doesn't at least he'll stand a chance. Lying will also destroy any future chances he has so wouldn't advise it!
