Where is the best restaurant in paris? looking to spend around £50 per head for a romantic meal for 2.?

a nice view with not too much seafood and near the champs elysees would be great!

50 pounds? That will get you two dinners in a mediocre place on champs elysses. No wine. No entree. No dessert. And certainly not at the "best" restaurant in paris. The best places will be 150-250 Euros *a person*, without wine. Of course, that will be for a 5 course meal, but you will be dining at some of the best places.

If 'kinda nice' on champs elysees is ok, then Deauville might be up your alley. It's right on Champs Elysees, on the left side if you are facing the Arc de Triomphe. You can probably get a couple pasta dishes there for around 50 Euros.

There is also a nice place down George V (Louis Vuitton is on the corner) called Findi. They have a prix fixe menu that might fit your needs along with some medium priced pastas. It may fit your budget and downstairs is fairly romantic. : )
£50 per head dont sound very much, more likely be £150
good luck
If you want the best restaurant in Paris you might get a small starter for 50.
burger king
Last year, i went to the restaurant at the top of the Montparnasse tower, stunning views across Paris. I'm fairly sure that they had a fixed price menu at around 50euros per head. But the bill will be bumped up by the cost of the drinks. 2 of us had the 3 course fixed menu, 2 bottles of wine, and brandys for about £125.

Enjoy!
I think you might need an extra loan from the bank, £50 each won't get you very much.
You want the best restaurant for £50? Add another 0 after that for the best
It is true that £50 is rather little if you are aiming at restaurants like Maxim's, La Tour d'Argent, . If you want a romantic restaurant, then it is worth going to the Eiffel Tower restaurant, but it is much more expensive if you would like to try good French Wines.

Otherwise have a look at http://paris.c-lafrance.com/, you'll find plenty of tips for restaurants.
yes you can get a good meal right near the champs Elysee's if you are walking stand on the corner by ARC DE triumph take 2 turn on left there is a MC Donald's opposite there is a Nice restaurant where the food is good and fairly cheap we go there when were in Paris sorry but cant remember the name of it but it is self service and plenty of room in side and may i suggest after your meal take a walk to the arc d triumph go up one side of the tower its view is great and then come don the other side
Try a website www.toptable.co.uk and look through the Paris section. You'll find something there for sure.

the most romantic place in Paris in my book in "La place des Vosges" not too far from beaubourg! that's a hike from Champs Elysee but check it out: they have a couple of good restaurant there.
near Champs Elysee, there's not many "romantic places: they are either busines oriented, very fancy or tourist trap! ask the tourist office.
