Where can a Los Angeles native feel at home in Seattle?

I'll be relocating to Seattle in the next couple of months and am looking to live in a neighborhood where I can feel at home in and won't make me miss Los Angeles so much. Can you help?

Answers:
I'm sorry to tell you this, but there isn't much here that will remind you of Los Angeles. With that said, the best neighborhoods in my opinion are Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, Greenwood & Green Lake. I think once you are here, you might actually love here enough that you won't miss Los Angeles as much as you think you will. This area is beautiful, the people are smart and not at all superficial, it's a very chill town.

Good luck next year.
You have my condolences.
Try Capitol Hill. That's the most liberal and gay part of Seattle. It may be expensive around there, but cheaper than LA. There are lots of nice restaurants, clubs and bars there, and it's a clean, safe area. You will see all types of people there.
Seattle is so not L.A. so I really could not help too much. It all depends on what you'll be missing about L.A. Capital Hill is a good suggestion if you want the Bohemian aspect of Seattle (Also Fremont, a personal favorite), if you miss the smell of crack try Pioneer Square. If you want people all around you and in a killer view there is always Belltown. If you want a nice quiet neighborhood, but still be close to all the action then there is all the neighborhoods around but not including the U District. like Wedgewood, Sandpoint. and many others. If you want to pretend you are from Sweden try Ballard. Any ways the traffic should remind you of L.A. and as you're gridlocked on I-5 you can pretend it's not cold and that there are palm trees. Hope your move goes smoothly.
