Is it possible to have a camera in hand luggage on flights from the UK?

Would like to hear from somebody that has flown recently.

yes.i work for Northwest Airlines..homeland security is not allowing now is: gels, hair gel, toothpaste, hand lotions,suntan lotions, areosols of any type. no beverages can be taken aboard the aircraft ..

I havent flown recently but am due to do so. You can again take cameras on the plane (though if you are going to America check this out ), and the restictions are more about liquids, gels and pastes than anything else. I had a look on the BAA website which has all the details on it, and is worth looking at to make sure your hand luggage is ok, as size of the bag is also an issue
Best place for it You can't trust the baggage handlers. Never put any valuable item in your checked in luggage.
