Don't pay any attention to all the nay sayers. (Negative comments)
If you want to travel, the UK is a great place to come and visit. You may like it so much that you want to stay. I don't know. Only you will be able to decide.
A lot of the people who have told you how bad it is here have probably never been outside of Europe.
They have no concept of what it's like in Mexico or anywhere else.
I think you should travel as much as you can to as many different places as you can.
Good Luck.
heeba heeba hondra. im playing a xbox 360 game at mo, its based on mexican type peoples revolution. lol..all i can say realy.
Its rubbish! Stay in Mexico. Don't need anymore cheap labour coming over here.
nah, believe me honey it aint that great, probably best to stay put..;)
You need money to live a decent lifestyle here, There's alot of poverty, crime, etc There are some real aw full places to live here.
Depends what you want to come to UK to do - how you can support yourself and so on. The "style" of life is very different depending on where you live and to be honest, if you dont come with some money behind you and the ability to help yourself, you wont come near to getting the "style" you probably want. Its not all its made out to be.

On the otherhand, if you are happy to live where you are told and in fairly sub standard accomodation but to live on handouts and social support, then come on over - this is the place or you!!
The UK is great if you don't mind wet windy weather one minute then sunshine the next. We have lots of history and amazing places to visit. UK is not as bad as people may think. London is not so 'British' as it used to be but it's still a lovely city. Some parts of the UK are beautiful and peaceful. check it out on the Internet.
The UK is expensive, high taxes, cost of living is high, rent or mortgages are high, it aint easy. Go somewhere cheaper like australia.
Um, we're going downhill. We have more immigrants then British people, to get a decent job you'll need to be highly qualified, we are amazingly highly taxed, and it's dammed expensive to live. Stay where you are. please!
The UK has a lot of history and some very interesting places. The city life can be quite hectic but there are some beautiful scenic places throughout the country. Some people (as you can tell from the comments) don't know how good they have it so you have to get used to a lot of moaning.

My only suggestion would be to give it a go and see if you like it here but remember 'the grass is always greener on the other side'.
In the uk from talking to people who have visited UK from hotter climates, they find it
A)Wet and miserable in winter and wear coats and big jumpers from November to February.
B)The people also cold, not as social as back in their home countries
D)Very Expensive
Yes, do come..brilliant social security handouts etc., to every Tom, Dick and Harry. We take everyone in and give them all they want but don't depend on getting a decent pension to live on!
When you say life-style in the UK, for me the first thing that springs to mind is pub culture- drinking and clubbing seem to be an integral part of life here. football is the major sport, TV seems to be the major home passtime. we have quite a high number of students, though the number may be going down a bit since the government have introduced stricter measures for paying for study here.

Are british people xenophobes? Can be, perhaps. but people are people where ever you go. these guys telling you not to bother with the UK, don't listen to them, they're misguided. I think most people will adopt a positive attitude towards intelligent young people from abroad coming here- if you get here though, that's your life, you'll have to adapt to the circumstances you find.

You are young, so see if you can get here on a student visa, I think you would like that sort of cosmopolitan life-style. If you're desperate to live in the UK, study either nursing, social work, or medicine, there will be a job lined up for you when you graduate. Seriously though, I'm thinking of ways to leave this country. It doesn't look so great to me, but I'm a foreign language student (or did I just graduate?), so it's only natural to want to get over and learn more about my country of choice ;)

Good luck!

its ok ,you just have to find the right areas, i was gonna say its crap but there's alot of countries worser out there
IS GREAT!!!!
Its full of moaning, whigning fools that complain about how expensive everything is. I'd love to send alot of them to live in another country for a few years and see how they like it there.

If you're not a uneducated, naive teenager, then you will like it.
Pobre "INDIGENA",

Life style is in the UK is varied. depending on where u want to go . Try LONDON. It's great. Its alway buzzy. different nationalities, differnt food and culture. You'll love it.
Cannot tell you much about Mexicans in London, but we have a very large 'Latino' community here, football, salsa, etc.
the UK was once a proud and great place to live but since Blair came to power it is full of foreigners and people scrounging off our welfare state. It has very high personal taxation, crime ridden streets and a health service that is a disgrace, the medical staff do a fantastic job but are swamped by bureaucracy and political interference
