Have u ever been to Shanghaii?

Answers:
I have been..and really liked the city.
Plus it was really, really, really cheap.
the only downside.for some reason, the people are very unfriendly.
I haven't been there, but I know that it is a good place. China is a booming country. Therefore, Shanghai, being one of its top cities should reflect their economy.
NO
YES I LIVE here. I'm a dutch girl, so not chinese at all. American boyfriend. We like it here very much. Cheap, no rules (drinking and smoking everywhere alowed, also street) great bars and also fancy restaurants, clubs. Very boooming, every week a different, new place, building. A lot of Expats. Chinese people are not too friendly but if you can speak (or learn) chinese its a lot better! A lot of jobs, appurtunaties, no need degree or diploma to do anything.

Nice food also, not only chinese, also thai, indian, nepalese, and a lot for not much money.

It smells bad in summer tho and very hot and Humid. Now is the best time to go, dry and good weather. 18degreesC

You need a visa to get in but easy to get.. Flights within china are really cheap! So dont go by train to beijing.

Come on and check it out yourself!!

that's the local what's on magazine (in english) - That's Shanghai

I lived there 4 years + it kicks *** - best of all worlds. Fun to be in a Chinese city; also a great international city where everything is very affordable.
Yes. It's the New York city of China. Very crowded, big mix of both ethnic and international people, religion, food, culture etc. It's been the commercial center since the last dynasty (when Hong Kong was just another tiny village). The next event? 2010 World Expo. It should be fun, I'll be there.
i havent been there but im planning to go there for the olympics. hope to have time for that. i also love to go on nature treks and discover natural wonders. I wonder if there are good resorts in shanghai or china? are there sumthing like these places or something similar?. http://pearlfarm.blogspot.com/
