Looking to go to Las Vegas on 11th Dec (for 1 week)..its pretty cheap to go but will it be busy??
i have been before but that was during the summer and it was so busy - people from all sorts - will the bars and clubs be busy like before or do people stay away because of Christmas!!

The reason it is cheap is the time of the year. The Rodeo finals just wrapped up and the town is in hang over from the 10 day party. We pretty well die until X-mas. But to us "die" means no major convention or big spending crowds so the casinos are a little more friendly and cheaper because the only people in are cheap tourists and drive ins from california.
And cheap is not meant as a slam, just means people not willing to spend $10.00 for a $1.00 drink or a fancy room.
We have a lot of people here during that time , just looking for the best deal.

You are jocking me! you are going to LAS VEGAS, how the h*ll do you expect to be quiet? Why would you like Vegas to be quiet anyway? If you wanna be quiet, get a plane and stay in the Grand Canyon.

The first couple weeks of December is the best time to go to Vegas! The town is practically deserted, so the hotel deals are fantastic. We used to go every year at this time. We'd never book our hotels in advance - just ask the cab driver who picked us up from the airport where the best deal was. I guess if you like the crowds it's not a great time to go, but I loved being able to get on the machines I wanted, and not standing in lines for the buffets, etc.

Vegas is always busy no matter what time of day or night, but the best time for less traffic is before 6am, and i would really suggest NOT go to Mt. Charleston, to dangerous!
