What is the best way to get to Cebu in the Philippines from the UK?

Airlines like Singapore, Malaysia, and Qatar, do a flight direct into Mactan (Cebu). You change planes in the host country.
To get the cheapest ticket (too late for December now) look up the addresses in the Filipino, available from Allied bank and Filipino shops in UK.
In all honesty Cebu is the best port of entry to the Philippines, it is easy and you can be outside the airport in less than 30 minutes of the plane landing. It is very user friendly.
Procedure fill in the Immigration card, and customs declaration given you on the aeroplane before you land. You need your passport and ticket to fill it in else your flight number.
The procedure is:
Immigration - very quick
Carousel - the luggage begins to arrive before you do
Customs - you may have to open a bag or two.
Check by security at the door, luggage tags to ticket.
Once through Immigration there is a toilet and washroom. Two lots in fact. Trolleys are free, but hurry they soon go.
Don't worry from the carousel to the door it's a short distance. Oh don't let the porters carry your bags they expect a big tip.
If you turn right as you go out the International exit, there is a cashpoint machine, which takes Visa and Mastercard amongst others. You can get P5,000 in one go, but can make multiple withdrawals. If you arrive domestic flight, turn left and left again outside the door for the cashpoint, always called ATM here.

By air:
Gatwick to Hong Kong on Oasis Hong Kong Airlines, then Cebu Pacific airlines to Cebu
Or to Manila and then a Supercat to Cebu (24 hours I think)
You can fly via Doha with Qatar Airways - usually cheaper - or via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific
for air it would be philippine airlines then cebu pacific..
both, when u arrive in manila u can get to plane via philippine airlines or cebu pacific, much faster coz it takes only an hour to get to cebu, than boarding on a boat (superferry) which takes around 18 or more hours

from UK, you will arrive in Manila international airport (NAIA terminal 1 any airline except Philippine Airlilnes) or in Terminal 2 (for Philippine Airlines & Air Philippines plane only). You can book connecting flight going to Cebu via Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines or Air Philippines. Its 1 hour flyt to Cebu. You can go there also via sea. You can stay overnight in Manila or go straight to Pier but it depends on your arrival time. the sea travel will take 16-18hours going to Cebu via Superferry (located ain Pier south) or Sulpicio Lines (Pier-north)
Best way is to take a connecting flight UK - HongKong/Singapore/Malaysia and then HongKong/Singapore/Malaysia - Cebu (Mactan Intl Airport). Another way is UK - HongKong/Singapore/Malaysia and then HongKong/Singapore/Malaysia - Manila, take Supercat /Supper Ferry to Cebu.
