Is it worthwhile going to see Angkor Wat in Cambodia?

Answers:
Good grief oh COURSE it is! How can you be so lucky to go to Cambodia and not want to see one of the wonders of that part of our world? It's like coming to England and asking if the Tower of London is worth going to see or Stonehenge or the Pyramids in Egypt or the Taj Mahal in India. Some places demand a visit. Angkor Wat is most definately one of them. (If you don't want your ticket to Cambodia can I have it so I can go?? heheheh)
If you intrested in History = old culture - Angor Wat is the place to go

ANGKOR AND THE TEMPLES OF ANGKOR WAT.
THE FIVE TOWERS ARE THE SYMBOL OF THE COUNTRY. THIS
MONUMENT WAS CONSTRUCTED IN THE 12TH CENTURY.

ANGKOR THOM
THE PRINCIPAL MONUMENTS ARE:-
THE BAYON, CENTER OF THE CITY OF ANGKOR THOM. THE BAPHUON,
CONSTRUCTED IN THE 11TH CENTURY. THE TA PROHM, AN ANCIENT
MONASTERY FROM THE 12TH CENTURY. THE ELEPHANT TERRACE, NAMED
AFTER THE FOUR ELEPHANTS CARVED FROM STONE. FINALLY THE
KINGS TERRACE, NAMED AFTER A PAST KING OF THE COUNTRY, WHOSE
STATUE IS TO BE FOUND IN THE MUSEUM OF PHNOM PENH.
yeah
YOU NEED TO GO SOON AS THERE ARE NOW 52 HOTELS ON THE DOORSTEP OF THE SITE AND PILES OF RUBBISH
GO SOON
It is absolutely worth going to see. Its should be one of the ancient wonders of the world. There are virtually no tourists around when you go. Its extremely hot and humid.
I would definitely go! That would be my first stop if I ever have the opportunity. I will in a couple more years.. but yea.. YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY GO!! ^_^
YES! you must see Angkor wat. it's very beuatiful and the structure is so amazing.
Yes, and hurry, the place is getting flooded and the place (and the people) lose its authenticity day after day.. soon you will see a Starbucks in the main temple, just like there is one in the Forbidden city in Beijing.
Absolutely, and if you can, check out some of the other temples in the area. They are all worth seeing.
i didn't as i was fed up of temples, but reget it now
One of the ancient wonders of the world, definitely not a place to miss. As I understand, that place is deterioting again and may not last, so it will be good to go while you can.
YES! It is one of the coolest places in this world that I have ever been to, and I have traveled a lot. I think it ranks up there with the great wall maybe even better. Just get a three day pass. By the time you are on your third day you will be worn out!
