Do you like or dislike the sound of the Ramazan drummer?
Personally, I like it. As I write this question I can hear the drummer. If I'm asleep it doesn't wake me.
Last week I was in Selcuk and heard a chorus of drummers playing contrapuntally, sometimes it was almost like New Orleans jazz - the post internment style.
Some of my friends here hate it and have their sleep disturbed by it.

Hey i have just come back from turkey today actually and i wasn't expecting to hear the drummers while i was there as i didn't have a clue about any of it!
I now have a better idea about it, and i do actually quite like listening to it! He walked past my hotel at the same time every morning just after we had got in!
We once got in early and i lay awake waiting for him to walk past before i could go to sleep!!
Hmm i hardly hear any. Maybe cause of the neighbour hood or the double glazed windows lol or maybe my sleep lol
They are kind a historic tho , some cool ambience.
I don't like it. I don't fast and I don't need to be awaken at that time of the night.

Generally in the entire middle east, they don't beat drums in Ramadaan / Ramzan. I dont know who are those idiots beating drums in this holy month..!!
if its from afar it really doesn't bother me at all, but last night they come right outside my house up to my front gate even though my dogs were going absolutely crazy! but they will wait there and let the dogs bark until you give them money to leave which i think is really rude. they dont go to the houses without dogs they only choose the houses that they know the dogs will bark. this really pissed me off as my sister was trying to get her baby to sleep at the time.
they might just do this in my area i dunno
