Where is barton court, shoreditch? It is mentioned in the 1871 census.?

According to Charles Booth in 1898(?) it was a rundown area with overcrowded houses. The London School of Economics say they cannot be certain of it's location (the area was probably redeveloped), but there is an account of a policeman being attacked, therefore perhaps look at the areas marked in black. References for 1862, 1891 & 1930 put Barton Court in the parish / district of St. Columba (or Haggerston).
Having read Charles Booth's journal in a little more detail, it would appear that Barton Court was a cul-de-sac on the eastern side of Hoxton Street, which could put it about where the Hall & Theatre are marked on the modern map.

31.10 06 further to my last answer i have read Martin G answer and i thought that you would be interested in the following ?
I am 69 yrs of age and i lived in Shoreditch for many many years my father told me of the incident with the Policeman and the story goe's that a Policeman was murdered and his body was placed down a drain hole , this happened in SHENFIELD STREET which used to run between Hoxton st and Kingsland road this was in the parish of Haggerston.
The whole area was demolished under the slum clearance scheme in the early 1950 's
