Where's the best honeymoon destination in August?

Budget is £3000-£4500. Is it too optimistic for me hope for a 2 week 5 star all-inclusive around that budget?

Answers:
Hello there- first of all, congratulations on your forthcoming wedding.
Depending on what you are looking for, I think the budget is very reasonable.

Here are my suggestions for you.

First of all, Mexico- If you want nightlife then Cancun is the place to be- I'd reccomend the "Moon Palace" complete with the jacuzzi in your suite- should be about the top of your budget for 2 of you.
If you fancy Mexico but don't want the vibrance of Cancun, then I'd reccommend "Riviera Maya" Try the "Bahia Principe Tulum/Akamal) for a decent hotel. Its on the beach with plenty going on in the hotel itself but still giving you that paradise experience.

Mexico will give you quality all inclusive accomodation. Please steer clear of The Dom Rep, it's too risky right now, the hotels aren't really luxury and the food is often not cooked properley.

Cuba is very nice too. Varadero is the place if you're looking for something other than a beach, stick to the 5 star hotels and you'll be ok. Sandals is the best but for a lot less money again theres a Bahia Principe which is well worth a try.

Have you thought of a cruise? P&O have some good ones- again they might be at the top of your budget and although aren't all inclusive, they do provide up to 6 meals a day!

Still on the cruise front and Thomson cruises do a few good ones and for a little extra you can upgrade to all inclusive.

A little closer to home and theres Sharm El Sheik in particular the Baron Palms- it's a very nice all inclusive hotel, but in August, it will be very very hot But well under your budget for 2 weeks.

Theres always Cyprus and a lovely 4 star hotel with an all inclusive upgrade just outside the resort of Protaras called The Kouzalis Beach. Its adults only and ideal for a honeymoon- again well within budget.

Good luck- I hope you have a lovely time!
depends on where you want to go
If you want a 2 week 5 star all-inclusive try Bali - we had a great time there.
However, a word of caution. Why should a honeymoon be seen as the 'ultimate'?

If you need to be reassured about each other and your future together then actually almost anywhere will do.

Why not think about a place you can both go back to from time to time over the years when you need to refresh your love for each other or to just reminisce?
Depends on what you are looking for, but having been travelling constantly since June this year (currently travelling the States after having been round lots of Europe), I would strongly recommend Tuscany.

If you're prepared to go self-catering (and it's worthwhile), I see no reason why you shouldn't come in under budget. If not, this should still be affordable if you book well in advance.

Try staying in a fattoria in the Chianti region. We stayed in a (self-catering) place in the middle of a Chianti vineyard, near a small village named Vagliagli, which was about 11 miles north of Siena. We visited Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Siena (though not Florence as we did not have time, even though it was not far away). All of them were fantastic, particularly San Gimignano.

It will be hot, but the light, scenery and cuisine are all fantastic and, having visited France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic and Belgium, both my partner and I agree that nothing could touch Tuscany.

One thing though - if staying out in the countryside in Tuscany, you will need a car (hire one or take your own) and the driving in Italy is somewhat scary! Therefore, staying in one of the cities or in Siena, for example, should avoid the need for a car if you're not happy about driving. You may miss out on the best places.

If you're looking at going to the USA, Big Sur on the California coast cannot be bettered for its sheer beauty. You can get all-inclusive 5-star very posh and luxurious resort in Cancun, Mexico for around £2000 per person for a fortnight (again, both these places will be very hot in August), but you may struggle to find anything for this price if you look in the Eastern Caribbean.

If, however, you look carefully and are not fussy about your particular destination, many travel agents offer 14 nights for the price of 10, or 10 nights for the price of 7 for honeymooners to traditional honeymoon destinations (such as the Caribbean). You're in plenty of time, so shop around and take your time to make sure you know what you want and know what you're getting.

Congratulations and enjoy - I hope you go somewhere unbelievable (again, my money's on Tuscany - if it's good enough for Tony and Cherie, it's good enough for me!).
Hi. We went to butlins for ours 27 years back. But 2 years ago for our 25th anniversary, we went to Gran Canaria, playa del ingles. It was great, hot and really romantic. Nitelife was so relaxed and romantic. Having meals out under the moonlight too. We stayed at the Hotel Beverley. It is the best hotel we've ever been to. Can highly recommend it. We've also been to Palma Nova in majorca. The place is just so gorgeous, romantic and musical at night. We go there once a year. We stay in the Tobago Hotel. Again, recommended. Then theres Playa de las americas in Tenerife. Great fountain that 'dances' to the music. Excellent Aberdeen Angus steak houses. Also costa del sol, torremelinos. Great walks along the sea front, we walk for hours at a time. Then theres costa brava, pineda da mar. This is an excellent spot. We stayed in the Pineda Palace. Recommended. The train opposite runs to several different resorts, and then into Barcelona. And very cheap train travel too. I would recommende all these places. But we are a middle aged couple now, so you might want something a bit more 'youthful' (sorry, don't know your age). Hope this helps you decide. Congratulations and Good Luck for the future.
Sorry I can't advise on prices but here is one of the honeymoon destination suggestions from my website http://www.1001-vacation-ideas.com/.
I have 6 pages of ideas for romantic/honeymoon vacation ideas. Maybe you will find something useful there. Best of luck to you.

Ariel Sands Beach Club, in Bermuda, is a great place for a private beach honeymoon vacation. This incredibly beautiful cottage colony has won many awards for its privacy, seclusion and it was voted one of the top 100 "Sexiest Hotels" in the world. A dip in the ocean is just outside your cottage door. The perfect beachfront boasts two unique ocean fed saltwater pools to relax in. Aqua is their beautiful seaside restaurant. It is waterside and is a scenic destination all itself.
A beautiful spa hotel in Thailand?
Moon palace - mexcio. The most special place on the planet.
if you're talking about going far then yes it is too optimistic but you might manage it in an exclusive resort in the Canaries or Portugal or even North Africa. Shop around.
