Hand Luggage - what can I take on board now?

I heard that you are now allowed to take a see-through cosmetics bag with cosmetics etc so long as each one not more than 100ml - does anyone know if this is true?

Answers:
Hi
you can take 100ml of fluid in a clear container inside a clear plastic bag which fits inside your hand luggage. Liquids that can not be placed inside the re-sealable bag must be packed into the hold luggage and checked in. Liquids of any amount can still be carried in luggage checked into the aircraft hold.

Remember that 'Liquids' includes:

All drinks, including water, soup, syrups,Creams, lotions, oils, perfumes, mascara etc
Sprays and pressurized containers including shaving foam and spray deodorants Pastes, including toothpastes Gels, including hair and shower gel Any other solutions and items of similar consistency

Medicines
Essential medicines and baby food may be permitted in larger quantities above the 100ml limit, but will be subject to authentication.
Yes! Please visit http://www.tsa.gov/ for more details.
What are you bothered about taking cosmetics on board for? Surely you can manage a flight without touching up your lippy.
Call and ask a travel agent or the airport with your question. I know I got pulled over and a long talking to because I forgot I had my hair scissors in my cosmetics bag. And they were my best scissors!! Never got them back.
I wonder if it would be easier to mail bags and all to the post office of the place you are visiting. Pick up your stuffs at the post office and then mail it back home before you leave. Just an idea.
Contact the airline in question and they will be able to tell you what you can and cant take on board.
The bag is to be just a transparent reclosable bag like a freezer bag. it must contain not more than one 100mls container of any fluid. You can take a small bag with money, camera, mobile phone etc. No lighters or sharp objects allowed. Go onto the website of the airport you are flying out from for a fully comprehensive list. No cosmetics allowed other than the 100mls liquid if necessary. Medications allowed if necessary for flight. Baby food allowed.
Yes, you can take cosmetics on board. They have to be in bottles 3oz. or smaller and in one quart size zip-loc bag. Only one bag per passenger. I know this cuz I flew a week ago.
