Could I move to America by myself aged 16? If yes, where could I look to live?

Answers:
where are you coming from?
how are you going to get here?
what are you going to do next?
if you can pretend to be 18 , well it won't be legal, but i dunno what you think you will do here.
waitress?.
at least finish your school,
don't mess up your whole life being illegal.
the answer to your question is that it is possible to do it illegally, not recommended,
a big city in the north is the best place to hide from immigration agents.
new york would eat you up alive.
go more west.
No
You would need to become emancipated.if thats even possible in your current country.
not legally
No, and you'd need a Green Card to get a job to pay for rent / food.
I think you may need some sort of permit.
No Im 25 and i cant because i dont have a visa for that country
No, you need to be 18 and qualified to do something that they have trouble getting people for there.
Don't waste time go for a good degree then you can go most anywhere if you put your mind to it, if you want to just backpack around you're much better off learning languages and doing Europe. America is also getting ready for a huge recession so you're lucky you can't go really.
i'm sure it'll be ok in some states, everything is legal in some states. But tell me this, why would you wanna move there?
You are a minor at 16 in the US and therefore would not be allowed to come here on your own unless you are a refugee or seeking asylum.
You should go to Mexico first. Then some night slip across the border. Of course, at your age you will probably have difficulty getting a job and making money. Talk to some of the people in Mexico and see if you can get some fake documents. That way you can get a "legal" job once you arrive.

Of course, there is always the illegal jobs of drug dealing and prostitution.

You would be better off just staying where you are. Get an education if you can and then you can move pretty much wherever you want.
Hi. While we would be glad to have you, at age16 it would be difficult for a couple of reasons.

1) 16 isn't considered to be legal age in the US to sign apartment leases, etc., so you would fave an obstacle finding a place to live.

2) In most states, child labor laws prohibit anyone under age 18 working full time during the school year. Therefore, it might prove difficult for you to secure a good-paying job.

However, I would suggest getting a student visa to the United States for college. Then when you get here, you could probably begin trying to make permanent arrangements.

As far as parts of the country are concerned, you'll want to investigate that yourself, because the US is a very varied place. Personally, I thnk the South is the best place to be, but you may have a different idea based on what you're lookng for.
