Bristol.?

I'm going to Bristol next weekend (November 10th) so can anybody recommend anywhere to go and anything to do or let me know what is happening in Bristol that weekend?

Answers:
I love Bristol, go up park street, and on you left is a park, in the park is Cabot tower, climb up and see the view, go to the Downs and there is a funny telescope thing where you can look at all the people outside by looking on the special screen (that's not v helpful is it) can't remember the name, the zoo in Bristol is good, @ bristol and the Imax theatre are all around the waterside area- popular for evening going out, the Arnolfini is a great art gallery that was closed the entire time I lived there, SS great Britain and the Industrial museum, heaps to do , and if you get bored you could always go shopping! Have a great time! Wish I could come!

Might be worth a look at this link
Theres the CLifton Suspension Bridge, @Bristol, boat trips on the river, CLifton, Cribbs Causeway, Broadmead, the Cathedral, lots of stuff to do! On Sunday morning there will be Rememberance SUnday Parades throughout the city, the main one is in the City Centre (near the Hippodrome).

If you are here for more than the w/e on Friday 17th is Red Maids Founders Day. This is the oldest girls school in the country (1634) and they parade through the middle of Bristol to commemorate their Founder. Nowadays a few of the daygirls wear the traditional Bonnet and Red Cloak which all the Boarders used to wear on that day. It is unique to Bristol so worth a peak if you're here.

There is lots of history, culture (I suppose!) and night life here in Bristol. Just watch out for Vicky Pollards!
go to the port all that happens happens there
Make sure you check out the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol Zoo, Clifton Downs, the Cheddar Gorge - and if you can, hop on the bus to Bath and check out the amazingly beautiful buildings there, especially the Crescent. I was in Bristol about two years ago and loved it - it's an incredibly nice place, and the people are wonderful. Just be prepared for a lot of hill-walking. It's a very, very hilly city! We also went to an exhibition in a big centre near Temple Meads train station - I can't remember what it was called, but it was great. I'm sure there'll be an exhibition or something worth checking out if you go there. There's a pub called 'The Old Engineer', or something like that, near Temple Meads, too - it was probably the roughest, scariest and most thrilling place I've ever eaten lunch in my life. If it's still there, check it out. Have a great time!
There is NOTHING to see or do in Bristol
