Can a boeing 747 loop the loop?

Answers:
I bet ya James Bond could do it
ive never seen one do it. think they might be too big
not sure but i know that it can go mach 1
I doubt it.
no, it's too big and heavy, and even if it get enough airspeed, the wings would be torn off by the massive g-force exerted on them.
Cannot see anything on Boeing site, so I e-mailed your question to them :-)
It is unlikely that the structure of the 747 could withstand a loop the loop, how ever a 707 airliner was once barrel rolled - there is a photograph somewhere that proves it (google it).

One of the largest aircraft to loop the loop was the Handley Page Victor bomber (about 60 tons and four engines). This aircraft would perform this manoeuvre as part of a nuclear bombing technique called "Lob bombing". This was practised by RAF crews on a regular basis.
Don't think so ,but theyre great at going straight down in a vertical dive !
no definately not cause the wing span is to wide and the plane is to heavy
Yes I have seen it done but only on film. It is part of the test flight routine applied by Boeing when a glass of water is placed on the dashboarb of the aircraft during the test and the test pilot loops the loop. Thus ensuring that the centre of gravity for the aircraft is determined by the water in the glass, not a drop was spilt during the test. This type of test would not be undertaken with passengers on board but forms part of the US Avaiation code of practice.Other tests are to place a skid at the rear of the plane and take off at a very steep angle so as the skid hits the ground at the rear of the plane. All part of a very strick test flight operation before delivery to the customer.
