Which town and B&B in The Cotswolds is the best for this weekend?
I'd like to go to The Cotswolds this weekend. We are 2 adults and 1 child. Is there anyone who could recommend the best twon and B&B to stay for us? This is going to be our first time going there.
We are going there by train. We don't have a car. Appreciate it if you could let us know this info.
Thanks,

Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are probably the nicest little towns. I think they have bus connections but don't think the train goes to either. I've only ever been on day trips but they are both busy little towns so I would imagine that you would find quite a few B&Bs. If you can get a bus out there from wherever you are, the Slaughters (particularly Lower Slaughter) are beautiful.
Cheltenham makes a great base good shopping restaurants a great hotels we stayed in a hotel which was a boutique hotel with loads of cool unusual features called hotel on the park

evesham is a great little town and its on the river there is a big park lots of shops a small fun fair for the kids some great pubs and a railway station dont know of any b&bs though
For quintessential Cotswold villages, you can't beat Stow on the Wold or Bourton on the Water. There's a gorgeous looking small hotel right in the centre of Bourton, but I can't remember the name.
If you don't already use Alistair Sawday's hotel/B&B guide, then you're missing a treat. He has a fab website - www.specialplacestostay.com
I've never stayed in a bad place from his books/site.
