Has anyone been London for the new year? If so, wheres the best place to go for mid nite?
Answers:
Trafalgar Square is a must but it's busy and parking will be impossible-
Some train services and tubes run through the night so use public transport.
Trafalgar Square is very good if you can stand the crowds.
best place to go at midnight is trafalgar square.
Went to the millennium one it was HELL no toilets and broken glass everywhere! We were at St Thomas Hospital for the fireworks and we had to WALK back to Euston! Lovely!
Completely depends on what kinda music ur into n what is reachable. if u like electronic music try Fabric or Turnmills. If u like a mix of cheese, RnB n hiphop try soho
Big Ben, its a pretty sedate crowd but dramatic none the less.
Trafalgar Square is the traditional gathering spot. However, like the sales, it's best to set up camp at least a day in advance to get the best spot.
Trafalgar square is a must
trafalgar square is beautiful there are many many people around and fire works music
I disagree about Trafalgar Square. Yeah, it's traditional but there's also loads of trouble there. Everyone is drunk and there are lots of fights and arrests. The police try to discourage people from going there. Plus it's freezing. Having said that, it's the only free outdoor event I know of in London for New Year. Most people here go to the pub or stay at home and have house parties.
150,000 watched the midnight fireworks from Victoria Embankment last year.
Make you own mind up if that is your thing. If you want to go to a pub, get there by 19:00
