Any one recommend ' wild camping spots ' in uk? Have recently bought a motorhome and want to camp wild.
Answers:
Get your bike, your tent and your sleeping bag, a box full of beer and go to Norway, you can legally camp anywhere 100 metres from a house, you will not gat any angry farmers or any or that, in the summer as you travel north you get 24 hour daylight and you just stop whereever takes your fancy.
I have been there lots of times on my motorbike, forget the UK with crap camsites and noise. Camp is Norway by a river, fjord or high in the mountains in the wild and you will discover a beauty country and discover yourself and you will never want to go home again
I dont mean to be rude (honest!) but surely you'll need road access so it'll hardly be wild lol
Maybe swap it for a tent and try some moors or the highlands ;o)
What a good idea , that is just the ticket to blow the blues away pet. If i was you and you have everything you need in the van, then there are plenty of places on moor etc where you will not be bothering people or being disturbed..you go for it ,
Yeah and you will have Farmers coming after you shouting "Ger Orf Mi Larnd" as well as the Police moving you on.
Can only think of Toxteth, Mosside, Canning Town or the Gorbals
With a motorhome hardly wild is it?Home comforts if the going gets too tough?Try Wales,Cumbria,Scotland, Isle of Wight, Cornwall parts, or Ireland. if that fails suggest Lundy Island!!
its all according how far you wish to travel.
If you are up north then you have the beautiful lake district, peak district and yorkshire dales.
Down south you have the wonderful Brecon beacons in Wales, Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin moor in Devon and Cornwall.
Don't be too wild tho', please keep these wonderful assets clean for someone else to enjoy.
